The RAILSIM Team includes database developers, rail operations analysts, project managers, technical writers, and software developers — all of whom are ready to work for you on your project. Whether a “quick hit” analysis or a detailed design is required, SYSTRA's RAILSIM Team can provide timely, high-quality, cost-effective consulting services to your firm or organization.

Training and User Support

• 5 days of training is included with a Network Simulator license.
• 4 days of training is included with a Load Flow Analyzer (LFA) site license.
• 10 days of training is included with a Full Suite (all modules) license.
• Training for other individual RAILSIM modules is available at additional cost.

In addition, the RAILSIM Team can provide “refresher” training for beginning users and training in new RAILSIM features and applications for experienced users.

Training class sizes are governed by the licensed RAILSIM package (single/multiple user or site license).   The optimum class size is 8 students.  The maximum class size is 20 students (requires multiple instructors, at additional cost).

Training classes can be held at RAILSIM headquarters in New Hampshire, U.S.A., or on-site (additional charges will apply).

Database Development

As an option, the RAILSIM Team can provide “turnkey” Simulation Software Suite solutions by developing or synthesizing databases of your rail network. This database development effort often includes extraction or conversion of existing enterprise databases in tabular or geographic formats. In some cases, field data collection, using track geometry cars, Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers or other measuring devices may be required in order to form a complete and accurate representation of your rail system.

Simulation Model Calibration and Auditing Services

The RAILSIM Team offers optional services in the calibration of your RAILSIM databases to “real world” conditions and variability. Services to “audit” the accuracy and validity of your RAILSIM databases are also offered.
